What is it that inspires us to write?
A moment , a feeling true enough
for us to feel?
Mine was played on reel
Drawn in steel.
The moment immortalized.
The moment we wish to idealize, realize.
Film, theatre, story, poem,
word, thought and fiction
fix the moment we wish to live in.
The knife, the kiss,
the war, the mist.
All so real
All so clever
All mystery and
all never
Adventure
Endeavour
Now and forever.
It is the key to immortality
no future, no present, no history
Our own heaven for discovery.
